Our beaches at low tide can have deep extensions into the ocean, and can be walked from the north end of East Beach to past the village pier, all the way to the Sea Island Golf Club, over four miles. Whether you stay on East Beach, downtown near the pier, or in between, you and your family will always have something to do…or the fabulous option of doing nothing at all but relax and absorb the aura of this gem, St. Simons.
Bike, walk, fish, kayak, or rent a sailboat or even something a little faster to complement your fun days at the beach where you can read, body surf, build sand castles, enjoy food and beverages, and chill out and bask in the St. Simons sun. For those that love to shop, there are numerous choices near the pier, in Redfern Village, and at the Shops at Sea Island, plus many other excellent choices in between including antique shops. You can get around by car, but most folks ride bikes or even rent a self-pedal buggy.
In addition, there are trolley tours, ghost tours, dolphin tours, and much more to do on St. Simons. And in the evenings, you can take a horse-drawn carriage ride around town!
